Dunkin' HR Assistant in Methuen, Massachusetts

HR Assistant- ( This is an Office based role at our Support Center in Methuen, MA. that has the potential to evolve over time to a Junior Field HR Generalist role)

Position Overview: As an HR Assistant supporting the Field People Operations Partner, you will contribute to creating a positive work environment, managing HR operations, and supporting restaurant teams across multiple locations. This role requires travel within the assigned region, and the candidate must have a valid driver's license and reside in the market where our locations are situated.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. On-site HR Support:
  • Provide hands-on HR support to multiple restaurant locations within the assigned region.

  • Collaborate with restaurant managers to address employee relations matters, including performance issues, conflicts, and disciplinary actions.

  • Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including collaborating with hiring managers, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.

  • Compliance and Audits:

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations, including labor laws and safety standards.

  • Training and Development:

  • Facilitate training sessions on topics such as diversity and inclusion, harassment prevention, and customer service.

  • Collaboration with Corporate HR:

  • Work closely with corporate HR to implement company-wide HR initiatives, including benefits enrollment, performance appraisal processes, and employee engagement surveys.

  • Employee Engagement and Retention:

  • Assist in the development and execution of strategies to improve employee retention and morale.

  • Administrative Tasks:

  • Manage HR-related administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records, tracking attendance, and processing payroll information.

  • Grievance Resolution:

  • Participate in employee grievance resolution, mediating conflicts, and implementing appropriate solutions.

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR to continuously improve HR processes and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 1+ years of experience in HR or related roles.

  • Understanding of labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in HRIS software, Microsoft Office Suite, and related HR tools.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region to provide on-site HR support.
