Baskin Robbins Cake Decorator in Manassas, Virginia

? Cake Decorator

Reports to: Cake Department Manager

Qualifications

  • Must be able to follow written directions.

  • Able to operate kitchen equipment (minimum age requirements may apply)

  • Must be able to move quickly and do repetitive motions and tasks.

  • Must be able to step into cold temperatures freezers of up to -15F for minutes at a time (jacket will be provided for freezer access)

  • Must be able to works with cold product like Ice Cream and frozen cakes

  • Must be able to work at a fast pace environment

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • Must have a steady pulse

  • Must be able to lift 40-50 lbs

  • Must be able to work standing for 8hour shifts

  • Must have organization skills

  • Must process qualities like creativity, dependability, attention to detail, and congeniality

  • Must have Eye-Hands Coordination

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Must take cakes to various stores and districts (van will be provided)

  • Must be able to build, design, frost, paint, and decorate cakes (training will be provided)

  • Must work at a fast and steady paced with other cake department employees to finish orders in a timely manner

  • Must maintain required inventory levels and keep cakes in order of cake sizes and designs while using FIFO (First In-First Out)

  • Must fill out Order forms neatly and accurately

  • Must know how to merchandise the upright freezer and report any adjustments needed

  • Must ensure all dessert shelf-guidelines are met

  • Must label and date code cakes accurately

  • Must learn how to write on cakes

  • Must be able to use knives and other cutting material

  • Must follow standards and procedures set by the company

  • Must maintain inventory on all items needed to produce desserts

  • Must follow decorating quality guidelines and standards to the detail

  • Must maintain good hygiene
